I drafted out 4 different poster thumbnails and I have not settled on which design I am going for yet, I am leaning more to design number 2 because i like the overall composition and i think it has good focus towards the gloves themselves.
I looked up some 90’s poster references for marketing products for youths, I tried to take some inspiration from the placement and composition of image and text.
Please give comments on which design looks the best and what improvements can be made as well as the elements are best to keep! 🙂
Hello I have made an update to my thumbnails after receiving feedback from comments and from my teacher. I have made a 5th thumbnail to change some elements from design number 2, as that was the most favoured choice from the 4. I made changes to the background in terms of elements and perspective, I removed any trees and decided to have my second character run with her retrieved kite in the background!

I personally like your thumbnail 2 as it already tell what the product does.
Maybe you could just straight away show that he has the kite in his hand instead of just leaving the kite at the tree. Just a suggestion though. I really can’t wait to see the final poster design. All the best with your works! 😀

Thank you for your comment Adilla!^^ I dont think i will make the boy hold the kite as I want the gloves to be the focus but maybe I can change the background to having the girl hold the kite? Thank you for your suggestion!^^

Good Afternoon, I agree with Adilla above, I think thumbnail 2 looks best, as its shows what the product does, as well as ample space at the bottom to show the product, with slogan. I think thumbnail 1 and thumbnail 4 seems more of a poster advertising of the animation instead.
I think maybe instead of having the character seemingly jumping, you can have the character standing upright on the ground, from a top down view with us seeing then we see a very small portion of the tree (with a kite stuck on top of it) on the top left hand side of the poster, then we see the character using the stretchy arms to try to reach it? Just a recommedation.
